I mostly worked on transferring the new image to chef. I will start the transfer to the window machines in Superior as soon as I get done posting.
Marlene had some questions about how to do things with the Admin Dashboard for research.me so Javier and I met with her this afternoon. There was a permissions error with respect to uploading pictures (perms on existing images were set to 640 when they should have been 660 so they can be overwritten). Aside from that she is very happy with how it turned out.
I was a little zealous today in trying to add myself to a local group on my linux machine and ended up dropping myself from every group on the machine (including the one that governs sudo use). Luckily, I know a little work around for that. If you boot a linux machine into recovery mode (requires you to be at the console), you can drop into a root shell (no password necessary). I re-added myself to the appropriate groups and carried on with my day.
